Brevo and GetResponse are both capable mid-range marketing platforms, but they have taken different paths. Brevo is an email-and-messaging platform with a unique send-based pricing model. GetResponse has expanded into a broader all-in-one suite with webinars, landing pages, and paid ads tools.

Pricing
Brevo charges by sends, not contacts: you can store unlimited contacts and pay based on how many emails you send. GetResponse charges by contact count. For businesses with large lists they email infrequently, Brevo can be dramatically cheaper. For businesses that send frequently to smaller lists, costs are comparable.
Features
GetResponse has more features overall: webinars, a conversion funnel builder, and paid ads creator are all included. Brevo focuses on email, SMS, and transactional email. If you want a broader platform, GetResponse has more to offer. If you want a focused messaging tool, Brevo is cleaner.
Automation
Both have good automation. GetResponse's automation has improved considerably and includes event-based triggers and lead scoring. Brevo's automation is solid and includes multi-channel triggers (email, SMS, transactional). They are roughly comparable in power.
SMS and multi-channel
Brevo includes SMS marketing and WhatsApp on paid plans. GetResponse does not have SMS marketing. If multi-channel messaging matters, Brevo is the better choice.
Choose Brevo if...
- You have a large list and want to pay by sends, not subscribers
- You need SMS alongside email marketing
- You want transactional email in the same platform
- You want a lower starting price
Choose GetResponse if...
- You want webinars and landing pages bundled into one tool
- You need a conversion funnel builder
- You want all-in-one marketing tools at a reasonable price
- You want paid ads management alongside email
The bottom line
Brevo wins on pricing flexibility for large lists and on multi-channel messaging. GetResponse wins on breadth of marketing features. The choice depends on whether you want a focused messaging tool or a broader marketing platform.
